Comment: I was reminded the other day of the tract 'Are Roman Catholics Christian', from Chick, which is a fairly good tract, but could use some more detail (there is only so much you can stick in a tract).

I'd like to answer that question, are 'Roman Catholics Christian?'

Roman Catholics believe that being baptized by water makes one saved. They believe that after a priest makes a mark on their forehead that they are saved, even as infants. Is this salvation? No, no works performed by any man can save you. Only Jesus Christ can save you and baptize you with the Holy Spirit. So no, Roman Catholics who are Roman Catholics because a blaphemous priest made a mark on their forehead (leaving an indelible mark in the soul according to the Roman Catholic catechism) does not save a Roman Catholic.

Does confirmation save a Roman Catholic? No. Making the same sign with your right hand and pledging allegeance to the Roman Catholic church and the pope does not save you. There is only one name under heaven by which we must be saved, and that is Jesus Christ. Making the same sign with your right hand, and swearing allegence to the Roman Catholic church or the pope can not save you.

Does becoming a priest save you? No. Claiming that special powers were transmitted down to you from priest to priest, in the same type of sin as Simon the Sorcerer in Acts, will not save you or make you one bit a minister of God. Wearing robes to be seen of men, or hats with two horns on them can not make you a minister of God. Nor does being part of a ranking of men with special and higher privileges further up it, with the pope at the top, (which the Roman Catholic church calls a hierarchy), make you one wit more special to God. In fact, God despises this type of thing, and the only hierarchy I readily see in the bible is 666, which is a hierarchy of numerals, in Roman, Greek, and Hebrew. The number 666 in Revelation 13:18 is definitely not the 144,000 with Jesus Christ mentioned in the very next verse, 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. (Rev 13:18, Rev 14:1.  See also Rev 1:6)  And far from the claim to be a father and wedded to the Roman Catholic church making you a minister of God or saving you, all it does is literally make the Roman Catholic church a great whore with a very large number of fathers of her children, all "water baptised" into her with the mark of the beast, and you a whoremonger.

These things can not save a Roman Catholic. In fact my bible says:

Revelation 14

14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

This things can not save you. These things damn you. Have you received a physical mark on your forehead or made it repeatadly with your right hand? Friend, repent, and stop believing it, and it won't be *in* you. Repent, and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask to be saved by Him, and He alone, who is able to accomplish it, will.

Ephesians 4:1-3 -- "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
