This is a bible study that compares New Jerusalem, the church of Jesus Christ, with Babylon, the church of the antichrist. It compares a lot of bible verses, which I've hyperlinked to help the reader. This is written a little differently from my other tracts. It uses a lot of bible verses, and will take some time to think about. It is also version 1.0.  It is pretty rough, but I thought the comparisons would help so I went ahead and put it up.

Note: Some of the other tracts help explain things mentioned below, and I recommend you read them first. This was written mainly to compare bible passages. Also, I linked the direct passages, but I suggest that you click on the 'read whole chapter' button to read the passages in context. May God bless you and your understanding of His Word. Amen.

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.      Revelation 14:1

Jesus Christ is the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. (John 1:29)  Everyone who is with him on mount Sion is part of the church of God. (Hebrews 12:22-24)  They believeth in Jesus and have been baptized and sealed by the Holy Spirit and are born again. (Matthew 3:11 John 3:3, John 3:16, Revelation 7:3, Ephesians 1:13-14  And they have their Father's name written in their forehead, God, who alone is Holy. (Revelation 15:4)

Mount Sion is the same as the woman in Revelation 12.  She is New Jerusalem, the mother of us all and the church of the firstborn, which is Jesus Christ. (Galatians 4:26 , Revelation 12:5 Revelation 12:17, Hebrews 12:22-24 )

And the man child of Revelation 12:5 is Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to pay the price for our sins, was raised again the third day by God, and who ascended into heaven. (Acts 1:9-11 , Revelation 2:27 , Psalm 2:9 )

The stars on her head in Revelation 12:1 are the same as the 144,000 on mount Sion in Revelation 14:1. This is the church of the firstborn, Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world.  Jesus Christ is the light of the world and so is his church which shines with his light.  (Revelation 7:4, Hebrews 12:23 Revelation 14:4 , Col 1:18 , Matthew 5:14 )

This is also the city of brotherly love, and those in it recognize each other because they love each other. And Jesus Christ is the head of it, who gave his life for those in it. (John 13:34-35 , John 15:12-13, also see Revelation 3:7 note)

All this is in sharp contrast to Babylon which is the city of priestly fathers, strife, and the beast.

Instead of the lamb of God on Mount Sion, it has the pope who wears a mitre hat as the bishop  of Rome like a lamb. (Rev 13:11 )  Instead of standing on Mount Sion, the pope is on the seven hills of Rome with a blasphemous name, Holy Father, which only God is. (Rev 13:1, Rev 17:9 )  And an eighth thing that the pope sits on is the Catholic church (Rev 13:1 , Rev 17:11 ) who the pope claims to rule over as bishop of Rome.
(Rev 13:12 )  Picture Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God on mount Sion and compare it to a picture of the pope with his two horned hat on the seven hills of Rome and the Catholic church - "mount" beast.

Instead of being saved, the pope causes everyone to receive a mark on their forehead and right hand. Many receive this as infants, who can not believe in anything.  It is a claimed 'transmission' of God by the Roman Catholic priests, which is sorcery, and the same type of sin as Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8.

And the beast like a leopard is this body of believers who have never believed and been born again. (Rev 13:2 ) A leopard can not change its spots, (Jeremiah 13:23 ) and an unregenerate man can not change his nature. (Titus 3:5-6 )  You need to be made a new creature in Christ. (2Cor5:17 )

And the woman that sits on the beast is the great whore, the Roman Catholic church who claims to rule over all other churches, and calls herself the mother church and mistress of churches. (Rev 17:1 )

The ten horns are the ten persecutions under the Roman Empire, which persecuted both Christians and the whore. (Rev 17:14 , Rev 17:16 )

The beast that was almost killed by the sword and yet lived are the claims and history of the Catholic church - That Peter as 'head' of the church was killed in the first persecution and the pope is his successor, that old Jerusalem, where Peter as 'head' of the church met was destroyed after three and a half years in 70AD, that the church was almost destroyed in ten persecutions, and that a 'miracle' happened, and Constantine reversed the persecution of the church, moving the capitol of Rome, and giving the beast its seat, power, and great authority, finally 'healing' its deadly wound. ( Rev 13:3-4 , Rev 13:12 , Rev 13:14 )

It should also be noted that Rome has been so widely known as the city of seven hills, that words we have in our common language come from the use that her hills had, such as palace and capitol.  Mons Capitoline is the hill of Rome where the government of Rome met, and where we get the word capitol, and it is also related to the word head in Latin.  The words we use in speech is like the picture that God uses in His prophecy.  And the great city that rules over the kings of the earth ( Rev 17:18 ) is Rome, which ruled when this prophecy was given, and continued ruling over all Europe as the Roman Catholic church.

Friend, I could go on, but why believe in the false resurrection of the Catholic church, that beast that was almost wounded by the sword and yet lived, and infant baptism, instead of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who alone can save you and who told us about all this long before it happened? The Roman Catholic church on the seven hills of Rome specifically contrasts Jesus Christ and His church on mount Sion.   God meant us to  understand this prophecy, and it is also a warning.

Now is the day to leave Babylon. Now is the day to turn to Jesus Christ and be saved.
